Reliable Environmental Solutions has a staff of IDPH approved training instructors who teach detailed courses complemented with years of field experience to provide a well-rounded education experience. We provide Asbestos and Lead training at all levels. Our instructors can provide training at your convenience in their fully equipped training room or your place of business.

Lead RRP Certified Renovator: Reliable Environmental Solutions, Inc. is an accredited training provider through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). EPA requires contractors, property managers, and others paid to perform renovations in residential houses, apartments, and child occupied facilities built prior to 1978 be properly trained as a Certified Renovator. This course teaches individuals how to safely perform renovations following lead safe work practices. This course satisfies the training requirement to be an EPA Certified Renovator.

Asbestos Building Inspector: The Building Inspector Course covers the history and health effects of asbestos, and it details building components, inspection planning & sampling protocol. Workshops for the inspector students include conducting an actual inspection, developing a bulk sampling scheme and producing an inspection report. This course satisfies the training requirement to be an IDPH licensed building inspector.

Asbestos Management Planner (refresher only): The management planner course covers the pertinent regulations and details the hazard assessment procedures needed to develop the various phases of a management plan. A workshop is provided that evaluates and interprets information from the inspection report and converts it into a working management plan. This course, along with the building inspector course, satisfies the training requirement to be an IDPH-licensed management planner.

Asbestos Project Designer (refresher only): The project designer course curriculum covers the background, health effects and regulations of asbestos. Individuals will participate in workshops that detail writing abatement specifications & contracts, preparing abatement drawings, cost estimation, budgeting and abatement solutions. The individual will be accredited to conduct project design in public and commercial properties, as well as schools. This course satisfies the training requirements to be an IDPH-licensed project designer.

Asbestos Worker (refresher only): The worker conducts abatement response actions related to the removal and control of asbestos. Materials covered include background, health effects, personal protective measures, acceptable work practices and work area preparation. This course satisfies the training requirements to be an IDPH-licensed asbestos abatement worker.

Asbestos Contractor Supervisor: The contractor supervisor course addresses the basics of asbestos, as well as detailing the engineering controls, work practices, and personal protective equipment involved with abatement operations. This course satisfies the training requirement to be a competent person (OSHA), an IDPH-licensed supervisor, worker or a project manager on an abatement project.

Asbestos 16 Hour Operations and Maintenance: This course provides the OSHA required training for small scale repair and maintenance operations where asbestos is likely to be disturbed. In Illinois, this training allows the removal of up to 3 square/linear feet of asbestos containing materials in a public and commercial building.

2 Hour Asbestos Awareness: This course provides the OSHA required training for maintenance and custodial staff that come into contact with asbestos containing materials. This is a basic course designed to inform staff of the hazards associated with asbestos in their buildings. Contact us for scheduling.

Designated Person: Federal and State regulations require that each school district have a Designated Person who is required to implement the district’s asbestos management plan. This course provides information on recordkeeping, notification, training, labeling, and hazard identification requirements associated with their program. Contact us for scheduling.

Intact Floor Tile Worker: This course details the work practices involved with the removal of floor tile and floor tile mastic utilizing intact removal methods. This course meets the OSHA training requirement for intact floor tile removal. Contact us for scheduling.

Intact Floor Tile Supervisor: This course covers the additional supervisor requirements of recordkeeping, engineering controls, and hazard assessment. This course, coupled with the Intact Floor Tile Worker Course, meets the OSHA training requirement for a Competent Person during intact floor tile removal. Contact us for scheduling.
